Google Analytics

Like just about every website these days, we use Google Analytics to track users of our documentation website and users of our apps. Our websites and apps uses Google Analytics to collect non-identifiable visitor data and analyse traffic. This information helps us understand customer behaviour and helps us improve our websites and how the apps works. You can read more about how Google Analytics tracks users which includes ways you can control the information you share.

This website also uses some Google Analytics Advertising Features to gather Demographic and Interest data. And to create remarketing lists for use in advertising. Google provides a way to opt out of these features.

Stripe Credit Card Payments

We use Stripe to receive payments such as when someone subscribes to our apps. We do not collect or store any credit card details. Transactions are done directly with Stripe. Stripe’s Privacy Policy

Sharing Data

Other than those mentioned in this privacy policy, we will not provide your personal data to any 3rd parties without your consent.

Privacy for the Stores Users

It is up to you as the store owner to decide how you implement your own privacy policy with regards to your users.

Our Apps add code to the pages of your store. Where that code implements analytics or advertising features it will comply with your user’s privacy options if you have enabled the cookie consent tracking option in the BigCommerce store settings.

Tag Rocket provides several options to help you configure the tags to comply with your own privacy policy needs. This includes Facebook’s and Google’s options for CCPA compliance.

Product Improvement

In order to improve our Apps we log events including errors caused by the Apps themselves. If an error occurs with our App code in a user’s browser, we will send a simple event to our systems to help with quality assurance (currently only Tag Rocket). You have the option to disable gathering this information via the Global Tag Values section.
