Providing Google with shipping information helps them show better information in their shopping and product-based search results.

The primary and most reliable way to tell Google about your shipping is in the Google Merchant Center. Or you can sometimes add it via the Google Search Console.

If they are not an option, then you can provide this information in structured data via the SEO Rich Snippets app.

Google now recommends adding store-wide shipping information only once. We add it to the business structured data on the home page.

Sometimes a product may override the shipping cost. e.g. fixed or free shipping specific to a product. If a shipping condition indicates it is relevant to a fixed or free shipping product, that shipping information will be added to the product’s page to override the general shipping price. If not, the product will reference the relevant shipping information on the home page. Note: as of Feb 2026, you will see warnings on the product page, which can be ignored.

The store-wide shipping structured data is more flexible than product-specific structured data, as it defines shipping for an order rather than just a single product. So don’t worry about the product page warning from the Google Search Console if you have defined store-wide shipping details, or have defined shipping in the Merchant Center or on the Google Search Console.

In SEO Rich Snippets, you can define your shipping in the Shopping->Shipping.

For the shipping feature to fully function, you should be showing shipping information on your product pages (BC Admin->Settings > Display > Product > Show Product’s Shipping Cost). This is so the app knows if a product offers free or fixed price shipping.

You can offer several different shipping services that contain shipping conditions. If a shipping condition is met (e.g. order value of $100 or more to Australia), then its rate is applicable. If more than one shipping condition entry is applicable, the one with the lowest rate is used.

There are many fields for a service and its conditions. Try to make them as accurate as possible.
